CUNY/Lehman College Institute for Health Equity opens Youtube channel
The department’s former chair, Dr. Bill Latimer (now Founding Dean and Professor of The Lehman College School of Health Sciences at the City University of New York) also serves as the creator, host and executive producer of a one-minute segment called Public Health Minute. Initially produced here at the University of Florida with WUFT (the University of Florida NPR affiliate), Latimer now produces the program from his CUNY base. The program recently published its archives on a Youtube channel.
From the Public Health Minute description: “Public Health Minute (PHM) is a one minute segment in which the creator and host, Dr. William Latimer, interviews researchers and medical professionals about a wide variety of public health topics. The Institute of Medicine estimates it takes 20+ years for health researchers to get scientifically proven findings that inform best practices into communities. Public Health Minute gets practical health advice informed by cutting edge research to the public today. ”
