In this interactive Q&A session, Dr. Belar will address your questions about professional organizations, their purposes, and how to optimize your engagement with them.
Dr. Belar served as APA Executive Vice president/CEO from 2016-17, and served as the Executive Director for the Education Directorate from 2000-14. She is Professor Emerita in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida Health Science Center where she developed academic and clinical tracks in medical psychology at the doctoral, internship and postdoctoral levels. Dr. Belar chaired three national conferences on education and training in psychology on topics such as the internship, postdoctoral training and the scientist-practitioner model.
